HAVE YOU TRIED CODEABLE YET?
In the following short article, I’ll describe my personal feeling of the Divi theme, listing some pros and cons of the software itself. My whole website had gone a huge revamp and most of the pages (including that past is being done with Divi).
Divi by Elegant Themes is an interesting Front End Website Builder.
I’ve found out about the builder while working for one of the Codeable clients. Not knowing much of it I had to learn how to use the software by trial and error. Given my previous experience with different builders like Elementor or WP Bakery Page Builder, I already had some expectations.
Divi positively surprised me with it’s feature rich and intuitive interface, that made me like the plugin out of the box.
Divi positively surprised me with its feature-rich and intuitive interface, which made me like the plugin out of the box. The plugin works on Front End, meaning that we get to see the changes to our site on the fly. As if we were editing an advanced word document. Not only that Divi offers a huge number of pre-made layouts that make it very easy to use. Finally, Divi offers extremely usable options to preview and alter layout on different devices: desktop, tablet, mobile phone – this all happens dynamically and saves one a lot of time while browsing the site’s content.
DIVI PROS
DIVI IS INTUITIVE
With its robust number of features and ease of usage Divi is extremely user friendly.
DIVI HAS GREAT BUILT IN LIBRARY
Packed with an enormous number of pre-made layouts to choose from, Divi is a great starter for beginners looking for inspiration.
DIVI's device preview is great
With its great toggle buttons that allow one to change from desktop, through the tablet to mobile Divi lets one save a lot of time on previews.
DIVI CONS
DIVI MAY SLOW DOWN ONES SITE
With great power comes great responsibility 😉 Divi, unfortunately, puts a huge strain on the server, loads a lot of not necessary needed resources. Get ready for some extra optimization while using that application.
DIVI may Crash and bugout
I’ve had a couple of situations where Divi got stuck, or where I updated post content (through default editor) and lost my progress, make sure to carefully work on your site and constantly save progress.
DIVI LAYOTUS ARE NOT THAT UNIQUE
While we all appreciate the ease of usage and quick development – with Divi it may be quite challenging to achieve a pixel-perfect conversion of one’s .psd files. A rule of thumb is that a pre-made design is way better than for one’s brand than a ready, reusable theme that can be found elsewhere.

SuMMING IT UP DIVI GETS A SOLID 7.5/10 imho
My personal opinion based on my somewhat limited experience is that Divi deserves a solid 7.5/10. The opinion takes into account multiple factors and the fact that I take branding and speed into account. In the right hands, Divi is an extremely powerful tool.
10/10 score taking into account my technical background is only achievable through manual work.
